City Beach Bash to support FUSDby Gary Leatherman
City Beach Restaurant and Recreation Center and the Fremont Unified School District are planning a City Beach Bash on May 15 to celebrate the grand reopening of the City Beach Pineapple Grill and to raise funds to help FUSD provide a more supportive environment for all students. Starting at 4 p.m., City Beach Bash will offer six hours of games, food, music, and other activities for children and adults, all for a lower cost than going to a movie.
The evening's activities will include basketball, volleyball, rock climbing, billiards, badminton, giant monopoly, bocce ball, sumo wrestling, a giant swing, inflatable play areas, a kid zone and live music. Self-serve food and beverage stations will be stocked throughout the evening with selections from the new Pineapple Grill menu.
Tickets are available at City Beach, 4020 Technology Place, at the FUSD District Office, 4210 Technology Drive, or at the door. Tickets are $15 for students, $20 for adults, $35 for couples and $45 for families of up to five people. Additional family member tickets are $8 each. Students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Proceeds from the event will help support diversity training for students and staff in FUSD to promote understanding, respect and support among the rich variety of cultural, ethnic and social groups that make up the student body and the Fremont community.
Further information about the event and the training is available at 659-2594 or on line at www.fremont.k12.ca.us.
