Irvington Theater Program to Conduct Citywide Auditionsby Gary Leatherman
Students from all high schools in the Fremont Unified School District are being invited to audition for four plays scheduled to be performed during the 2004-2005 school year by the Irvington Conservatory Theater. The auditions are scheduled for May 24 in the Valhalla Theatre at Irvington High School, 41800 Blacow Road, from 3-6 p.m.
The first play of the fall season will be "The Unknown Soldier and His Wife," a Readers Theatre production scheduled for performances Oct, 20-22.
The second production will be "Cinderella," by Rogers and Hammerstein, to be presented Nov. 19- 20 and Dec. 2-5.
The spring season will open with "Chicago," to be performed March 4- 5, 11-13, and 17-19, 2005, subject to approval of rights.
The final performance will be the dark comedy classic "Arsenic and Old Lace" on May 19-22 and 27-28.
