Multimedia Festival 2004
The third annual Multimedia Festival is a celebration of student works and creations. Computer stations displaying various interactive projects and a slide show presentation with animations will be displayed for the public as part of the festival. The interactive multimedia projects allow young and old to participate in the creative designs of the students.
The Multimedia Festival 2004 is in Hyman Hall, at the Ohlone College Fremont campus on Thursday, May 6th, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to everyone.
The festival allows students to receive feedback and gives them an opportunity to discuss their work. The festival creates a sense of community in the multimedia department. "Students enjoy seeing other work done throughout the year. It is encouraging and inspiring for the students," says Pilar Lewis, head of the multimedia department and professor at Ohlone.
The Multimedia Festival 2004 showcases student talent and allows the public to learn more about the course offerings at Ohlone. An awards ceremony will take place from 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
A workshop will be held following the exhibits, where faculty will speak about their experience in the industry and aspects of the multimedia profession.
Opened in 2002, Hyman Hall is a student haven with approximately 2000 computer stations, two student labs, and a highly skilled professional faculty. Hyman Hall is located on the Fremont campus at Ohlone College, 43600 Mission Blvd. Visit the multimedia web site for more information on the festival or multimedia courses at Ohlone College visit www.ohlone.edu.
