Chorus Festival Unites Fremont Schools
Students spent a morning rehearsing in earnest for their evening performance April 7th at the annual District-wide Choral Festival at Irvington High School. The program included varied musical works performed by both the Elementary School Chorus and High School Chamber Chorus. All students began learning the pieces last fall, and some students even arranged one of the selections. The theme for this year's festival was "I am the Future."
The sounds of music filled the hall that evening and in a traditional close, both choruses combined for a spectacular finale. Approximately five hundred elementary school singers were featured from Ardenwood, Blacow, Brookvale, Durham, Millard, Parkmont, Warm Springs, and Weibel Elementary Schools. Also participating were choral singers from both Irvington and Mission San Jose High School.
