March 30, 2004 > Fourth Annual Job Fair set for March 31

The Fremont, Newark and New Haven school districts will host the Spring 2004 Job and Career Faire at the Newark-Fremont Hilton Hotel on Wednesday (March 31) from 2-7 p.m. The fair will showcase public and private employment opportunities and for the first time this year will provide students with information about community service and volunteer opportunities.

The fair is sponsored by the Mission Valley Special Education Local Planning Area. Students from all Tri-City schools are encouraged to attend.

Fair spokeswoman Sandi Soliday said the fair is the fourth annual event SELPA has sponsored. "The fair is a wonderful opportunity for students to find jobs, to gain experience meeting employers and to explore a variety of career pathways," she said. "This is also a wonderful opportunity for employers to fill their staffing needs and to create partnerships with their local education community."
