Storytimes To GoBonnie Janssen
Children's Services staff of the Alameda County Library is proud to announce that "Storytimes To Go" kits are now available to borrow. Alameda County Librarians have created thematic kits to help children become ready for kindergarten. These thematic kits contain 12 story books, a puppet, a Video or CD and an instructional book. Themes include: ABC's and 1,2,3's, Dinosaurs, Health and Family and many others.
Parents and daycare providers with an Alameda County Library card may borrow any of these "Storytimes To Go" kits by phoning 510-745-1498, or by visiting their local Alameda County Library and asking for the "Storytimes To Go" kit with the theme they would like. A list of the themes can be viewed online at www.aclibrary.org. Search under Title for "Storytimes To Go" in the Library Catalogue. Kits may be reserved for checkout online or at your local library.
These "Storytimes To Go" kits have been generously funded by Every Child Counts and the Alameda County Library Foundation with the TRIO Foundation. They are now available to borrow for a three-week period with an Alameda County Library card.
The Alameda County Library System has branches in Albany, Castro Valley, Centerville, Dublin, Fremont, Irvington, Newark, Niles, San Lorenzo, Union City and the Bookmobile, although any resident of California may obtain an Alameda County Library card. All Libraries (except Niles and the Bookmobile) are wheelchair accessible. |
