The Classified Management Association of the Fremont Unified School District will be conducting Beautification Days at Grimmer Elementary School on Saturday, March 13, and again on Saturday, March 20. CMA also will be supported in this effort to spruce up the school by parents, school staff, CMA family members and student volunteers.
The FUSD maintenance and grounds crews do an excellent job of keeping schools looking their best, even with the reduced staffing they have this year. CMA members are aware, nevertheless, that schools in less affluent neighborhoods have limited volunteer resources to provide the extra attention that makes a school look attractive and inviting and have stepped in to help fill that gap.
The list of projects includes planting flowers, installing benches, edging the lawn, removing debris and upgrading flower beds. The crew will begin work each day at 9 a.m. and finish at 2 p.m. |
