1 on One Fitness
"Fitness" is more than a word or passing fad at 1 on One Fitness. "We work with people of all ages and levels of fitness to assist lifestyle changes that will help them achieve their goals, says Jeff Bryan, owner and Director of Personal Training. Jeff, with his wife and partner, Marnie, bring an impressive background of experience to their clients. When 1 on One Fitness opened in 1998, Jeff brought 15 years of weightlifting experience and certification from the American Council on Exercise (A.C.E.) and National Academy of Sports Medicine (N.A.S.M.). He knows that often exercise programs are ineffective and can even be harmful if proper preparation and accompanying lifestyle and nutritional changes are neglected. Marnie, also certified with N.A.S.M., assists clients using her knowledge and background as a certified jazzercise instructor.
Visible muscle groups are just a part of health and fitness. Starting with a postural analysis, Jeff says he evaluates the strength and condition of stabilizing muscles that may need attention. He adds that some people and exercise facilities concentrate on a particular part of the body and forget that our body works as a unit - all parts must function properly to achieve optimal fitness. At 1 on One Fitness, the process is orderly and focuses on personal goals and realistic methods to achieve them. "If someone is following an unhealthy lifestyle and eating pattern, they need to understand and accept a new model of behavior. However, expecting everyone to suddenly change may be unrealistic, so we work as coaches to help our clients make the transition."
The opportunity for individual attention and instruction increases the chances for success. At 1 on One Fitness, Jeff and Marnie work with clients in a private setting where high pressure and hype are forbidden. Clients can arrange convenient hours for sessions and follow a unique schedule of visits tailored to their goals, program and pocketbook. Using a variety of training methods and exercises, 1 on One Fitness creates an interesting and motivating atmosphere for clients. Jeff and Marnie promise that, "Our workouts are never boring!"
