The Tao of Yao: Insights from Basketball's Brightest Big Man and 9 OF 1: A Window to the World

Please join us at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14 to meet the Author, Oliver Chin. Chin set his graphic novel, 9 0f 1 in Fremont after 9/11. The epigraph is a quotation from Lao Tzu stating that "a great nation receives all that flows into it." His new book, The Tao of Yao, received the following praise from bestselling author Iris Chang:

"Oliver Chin uses the modern phenomenon of Yao Ming to illustrate the ancient wisdom of Taoism and Sun Tzu's The Art of War. By deftly bridging the cultures of East and West and by drawing inspiration from sports heroes, warriors, and philosophers over thousands of years of history, The Tao of Yao transcends both time and space, highlighting universal principles of leadership essential to victory."

This free event is made possible with the support of the Alameda County Library Foundation. Copies of the book will be available for purchase with the book signing.

Fremont Main Library, a branch of the Alameda County Library system, is located at 2400 Stevenson Blvd., Fremont. An ASL interpreter will be made available with 7 days notice. For more information call (510) 745-1401.
