How would you like to have children hanging on your every word? Bring together books, children, and libraries through community service? BECOME A BOOKLEGGER, and experience the satisfaction of bringing the joys of reading to children in grades Kindergarten through eighth. Eight weeks of training at the Fremont Main Library (to be held on Tuesday mornings, 9:15 a.m.-11:45 a.m., February 3 through March 30, 2004) will introduce volunteers to booktalking, reading aloud and storytelling skills; regular visits in the Fremont Unified School District will follow.

Orientation meetings for prospective volunteers will be held on Wednesday, January 28, from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., and again on that date from 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. YOU NEED ONLY ATTEND ONE OF THESE MEETINGS.

The orientations will be held at the Fremont Main Library, 2400 Stevenson Blvd., in Fremont, in Conference Room A.
