There's no business like show business
Seniors at the Ruggieri Senior Center in Union City proved that there is plenty of talent in their group as well as an audience that appreciates good entertainment. For the fourth consecutive year, the Senior Talent Show played to a full house with instrumentals, recitations, dance and song. The weather outside on Saturday, July 16th was hot, but those on stage were even hotter, performing to well-deserved applause.
Scheduled artists, in order of appearance were: Eleanor Gudelj, The Fremont Tappers, Flo Mederos, Padma Vijayadri, Rose Galit, Carol Kemnitz, Peter Cheng, Fremont/Union City Yuan Chih Dance of America, Ruth Orozco, Edna Gamba, Jaime Escobedo, Louise Gindler, Joseph Tuszewski, Ludi Baliao, Fremont Carnation Club, Mary Ramos, Lena Zee, John Helm, Dave Mandell, Virginia Graban.
Ruggieri Senior Center Staff, Larry Orozco, Alison Buenaventura, Carmen Jaramillo and Edward Rivera coordinated the event and extended their special appreciation to Jack Sands, Eleanor Gudelj, Virginia Graban, Anthony & Danielle Orozco, Jon Buenaventura and Rhoda Takeda who assisted at the show. Donations from Bancwest Investment Services and Tom's Flowers (Tom Mederos) were greatly appreciated.
